Holistic Therapies and Advanced Bodywork - Review
Kipp Clark operates from Time Hair, Health and Beauty on Normandy Street in Alton and suggested that I should come and see him as he may be able to help with the general aches and pains I was having, being seven months pregnant.
When I arrived for my appointment, I was sent up the stairs to where Kipp’s waiting room was. It was bright and airy with a calming atmosphere, soft music and nice comfy seats, putting me immediately at ease. Kipp soon appeared and we both went into the treatment room where I filled in a health questionnaire and we talked in detail about what I was suffering with and what he was going to do that may help.
Kipp used myofascial release - is a gentle but powerful therapy used to treat the body’s fascia which is the tough connective tissue surrounding the muscles, joints and organs. He also used trigger Point therapy which treats small points of local or referred pain. Pain at the trigger point, can be in a different place to where the pain is generated from.
After the treatment, Kipp encouraged me to take it easy for the rest of the afternoon and said I would probably benefit from seeing him again in the near future.
I felt good for the remainder of the day and although on waking the next morning I was in pain again, this soon subsided and so I was pleased with the initial treatment.
