ALTON COMMUNITY CARE

Can you help?

Alton Community Care provides transport for people from Alton and its surrounding villages who need to get to medical appointments. With the deterioration of public transport our service is a lifeline for patients who would otherwise find great difficulty in keeping the appointments which may be so vital for their health.

TO KEEP THIS ESSENTIAL SERVICE GOING WE NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS.

Currently we have five coordinators, working in weekly shifts – ideally we should have eight so that the rota is just one week every two months.

We have 36 drivers – ideally we would have between 50 and 60 to reduce the number of journeys for each.

COULD YOU HELP?
