Broadlands has been helping local disabled riders, both physical and learning difficulties, since 1955. In a beautiful and peaceful setting the ponies are all trained to work with the RDA riders, listening to the usual physical commands, voice or different body movements to enable the rider to take control. With some riders needing 3 helpers, we are always looking for helpers willing to learn whilst having fun. It can become addictive as helpers have been with us for over 30 years. Rides are during the week and on Saturday mornings, and the children have competed at Regional and National level with many rosettes in a very competitive environment.
