• Specialist in the Treatment of Pain
• Holistic Therapist
About Kipp…
My move into holistic therapies and advanced bodywork began in 2003 whilst travelling in South-East Asia. I had been enjoying regular Thai massages whilst in Thailand and found the therapy not only fascinating but very beneficial. I decided to take a Thai massage course at Wat Po in Bangkok, which I really enjoyed. Back in England I studied anatomy & physiology, various holistic therapies and then began working as a holistic therapist. I was particularly interested in treating pain and injuries so took many specialist courses to develop my skills in this area. I have been able to help many patients recover from chronic pain, including many who tried a wide range of therapies previously, which have offered them only limited relief.
My thirst for knowledge however, is far from sated, and I hope to study many other therapies and techniques in the future.
About my work…
I practise as a 'holistic' therapist, which means considering the entire body as pain or problems in one part of the body may be due to dysfunction in another area of the body. Working holistically also means considering the close relationship between the mind and body when developing a tailored treatment plan. When treating a patient I usually use a combination of appropriate therapies, as this makes the treatment more effective. With a broad knowledge of nutritional and herbal supplements I can also advise patients on supplements that may benefit their health.
I look forward to meeting you, and helping you to overcome any discomfort, muscle tension or health problems that you are experiencing.

Advanced Massage and Bodywork
My extensive massage and bodywork training draws from a wide range of disciplines including sports and remedial massage, trigger point therapy, osteopathic techniques, eastern techniques, advanced stretching, craniosacral therapy, deep tissue work, structural integration and medical massage therapy. By combining 'cutting edge' western techniques with ancient eastern techniques I can achieve fast, lasting results when treating muscular pain, joint pain/dysfunction, back pain, headaches, arthritis, injuries and postural problems.

Myofascial Release
Myofascial release is a gentle yet extremely powerful mind-body healing therapy used to effectively treat the fascia of the body. The fascia is the tough connective tissue which covers every muscle, muscle fibre, nerve, joint and organ in the body. This 'web' of fascia can become dehydrated, tight, inflexible and restricted. This causes pain, dysfunction, makes movement more tiring and inhibits circulation & tissue function. As fascial ‘restrictions’ do not show up on any conventional medical tests they are thought to be responsible for a very large percentage of undiagnosed pain, and other health problems. Massage, acupuncture and manipulation do not release fascial restrictions, only myofascial release does! Myofascial release has proven very effective in helping individuals recover from chronic pain, scarring and post-operative problems, old injuries, menstrual/fertility problems and fibromyalgia. It can also help people to ‘move on’ from past emotional trauma and can facilitate the natural self healing process of ‘unwinding’.

Reflexology
Reflexology is perhaps the most relaxing holistic therapy, effectively shutting down your body's stress response systems which cause a large variety of health problems. Reflexology is the therapeutic treatment of the feet to affect the entire body. It helps rebalance your various body systems and facilitates your body's self-healing mechanisms. Reflexology has proven particularly beneficial in treating stress-related health problems, digestive disorders, insomnia and ‘woman’s health problems’. It also helps support a healthy pregnancy and labour! A regular reflexology treatment is a very enjoyable way to keep healthy and relaxed in our fast-paced modern world.

Amma Fusion (Eastern Medical Massage)
Amma Fusion is an exciting blend of the most effective eastern massage techniques. Amma draws disciplines such as acupressure (deep thumb preasure), tui-na (Chinese medical massage), table shiatsu (Japanese medical massage) and is based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine. Amma works the meridians (energy pathways of the body) using specialised stokes and deep thumb pressure to restore correct energy (qi) flow promoting health, vitality and balanced mood. Amma can help with many conditions, but is particularly beneficial in treating systemic conditions (body system problems), ME/CFS, mild depression, chronic illness, auto-immune conditions and sinus problems.

Table ‘Thai Yoga’ Massage
I trained in this ancient therapy, which dates back to the time of the Buddha, in Bangkok. Table Thai massage is performed on a massage couch with the client fully clothed. The massage consists of acupressure (deep thumb pressure), 'yoga' stretching and gentle manipulation of the joints and spine. This therapy has many health benefits, aims to ensure correct energy flow within the body and effectively gives your body a ‘full service’. Thai Massage is very pleasant to receive; keeps you supple, and helps avoid the development of osteoarthritis and joint/spinal problems.
